Australia
From whacking a ball along an immaculate fairway on the sun-soaked Gold Coast to meeting
the challenge of Melbourne's sand-belt courses, Australia provides an unmatched range of golfing
opportunities.
All Australian major cities have access to superb golf facilities. Many of the green spaces that look like
parks when you first glance at city maps are in fact golf courses.

Australia has more than 1,400 courses, nearly all of them open to visitors. Each year, more than
500,000 eager golfers grab their clubs and sample one or more. The country's best-known greens
include Royal Pines and Sanctuary Cove in Queensland, Riverside Oaks and The Lakes in New South
Wales, Huntingdale and Kingston Heath in Victoria and the Grange in South Australia.
Kingston Heath in Melbourne, designed by Dr Alister Mackenzie, is one of the world's top courses,
while in Sydney, the undulating links of the Peter Thomson-designed Camden Lakeside course remind
many players of St Andrews, Gleneagles or Muirfield.

New Zealand
New Zealand offers a variety of stunning courses, featuring views of snow-capped mountains, sandy
beaches, rolling hills, lakes or sea.
From rugged mountains through lush subtropical rainforests to beautiful sun drenched beaches and
featuring the world's greenest pastures and richest farmlands. It is hard to believe that such
diversity could exist in such a small country - roughly the size of Nevada.
Magnificent coastal scenery, thermal geysers and the mountains and lakes of the Southern Alps all
make up some of the incredible backdrops to a fascinating array of New Zealand golf courses.
Modern golf course designs by the likes of Nicklaus, Palmer, Doaks and Harman add to the older
traditional courses of Mackenzie, Harris and Thomson/Wolveridge. The courses are as diverse and as
challenging as the landscape with the people of New Zealand being amongst the friendliest in the
world.
Playing golf in New Zealand is increasingly seen as an attractive alternative to the more traditional
golf package destinations such as Ireland, Scotland and England. New Zealand is a safe destination,
and features some of the most stunning landscape in the world.

South Africa
For the golf enthusiast, South Africa is a wonderful destination - and that's an understatement. The
country boasts an ideal climate for spending time out on the fairways under the bright African sun,
and golfers here are blessed for choice.
If you enjoy the challenge of a coastal course, there is a stunning selection available; if you prefer
playing at altitude, where the ball flies that much further, the selection is just as good.
Probably the most famous golf course in South Africa is the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City,
home to the the Nedbank Golf Challenge, that offers the largest first prize of any tournament in the
world.
However, there are many other world-class courses that have featured on both the European PGA
Tour as well as the local Sunshine Tour, not to mention a wealth of excellent courses besides.

Thailand
Apart from the scenic beaches, one of Thailand's primary attractions for the recreational tourist
is golf. Due to a dramatic increase in the popularity of the sport in Thailand, a large number of world-
class courses have sprung up, making Thailand one of Asia's premier golfing destinations. Although
these courses are relatively new, and are therefore lacking some of the tradition of the world's best,
they are nonetheless modern, challenging facilities, with breathtaking backdrops and a full range of
services. Most of Thailand's courses also offer fine dining, luxury accommodation, fully equipped pro-
shops with knowledgeable pros, carts, caddies, and rentals. Thai courses are known for their
impeccable upkeep, and also offer luxurious dressing facilities that are often equipped with saunas
and massage facilities. This broad range of services, along with the fact that many of Thailand's
courses are in close proximity to some of the world's finest beach resorts, makes Thailand an ideal
place to get away for a relaxing round of golf followed by a delicious meal on the beach. Additionally,
the tropical climate makes for fantastic golfing weather all year round, and the greens fees are
extremely reasonable by any standard. Many of the clubs are particular about exclusivity, however
all-inclusive golfing packages are available to most clubs.

Thailand is ideal for golf, no matter what time of year. The country has three distinct seasons - cool
(November - February), hot (March - June) and rainy (July - October), with temperatures soaring up to
as much as 35 degrees Celsius or more in the hottest month of April.Golf is fine during the rainy
season as it seldom rains for more than a couple of hours at a time, usually in the evening or night.
In the north of Thailand, the cool season can be decidedly chilly - you might need a sweater,
especially in highland areas - while in the rest of the country the cool season is still hot by Western
standards, certainly over 20 degrees. The south tends to get rain throughout the year, usually in the
afternoon or evening. Probably the best time to take to the links is in the early morning or late
afternoon, when the sun is not quite so scorching. Some courses also offer floodlighting, so you can
even enjoy a round after sunset.

Dubai
While many vacationers come to Dubai, more and more professionals are choosing to plan and
attend conferences in this location, because of one main reason: the golf. The contrast of the dry,
desert landscape is complimented beautifully by the well-manicured greens that flow through this
gulf-side haven. Multiple opportunities exist for those who wish to take aim on Dubai soil. Rod Bogg,
managing director of Dubai Golf says, "We have fabulous golfing facilities in Dubai. We have some of
the best courses in the world and without doubt some of the best clubhouses."

Dubai is located on the Eastern Coast of the Arabian Peninsula; it has a sub tropical arid climate with
infrequent and irregular rainfall (less than 13 centimetres a year). We have found that the best time
to play golf is from mid September to mid May, during the summer the temperature can be as high as
44 degrees but the green fees drop in price during this period.
Dubai is a cosmopolitan city and has retained many cultural traditions established by fishermen, pearl
divers and nomads. Experience the Arabian Desert, steel towers, shopping at old souks or modern
shopping malls. Dubai is a shopper's paradise with everything from gold, electronics, spices and
textiles; it's famous for offering top international brands at low prices. West from the city centre is
the popular suburb of Jumeriah which is home to some of Dubai's most luxury hotels. Here you will
find beautiful unspoilt stretches of beach and water sports complexes.
The biggest attraction for golfers is the selection of golf courses and the perfect playing conditions.
Millions of pounds have been spent on these courses to ensure that all visiting golfers have a
memorable experience.
